The Caribbean Agribusiness Marketing Intelligence and Development Network is comprsed of national, regional and internation public and private sector agribusiness entities that are willing to actively collaborate in the provision of sustainable market intelligence and trade facilitation services to the agribusiness sector in the region.

The Network arose from the Regional Agricultural Transformation Programme. This programme involves efforts by CARIFORUM governments, development agencies and private sector associations to devise strategies and programmes that provide effective support to the regional agribusiness sector in its quest to develop and sustain international competitiveness.

The networking and collaborative strategy allows for the maximisation of the use of the limited resources in the region.

Benefits of the Network
- Quicker and greater access to information
- Lower cost of acquiring information
- Wider access to markets

- Reduced marketing risk
- Reduced cost of inputs and technical assistance
- Greater profitability

The CAMID Database
The principal mechanism for the storage and dissemination of the information necessary for the fulfilment of the CAMID Network objectives is the CAMID Database. - Industry situation (international, regional and national)
- Imports and exports from countries of importance
- Demand variables (market characteristics, prices, market access requirements, buyer profiles)
- Supply variables (production statistics and characteristics, export requirements, supplier profiles)
