PROCICARIBE is governed by Board of Governors (BOG) made up of the Ministers of Agriculture of Caribbean Member States which is the highest body of PROCICARIBE. An Executive Committee (EC) comprised of chairpersons of the National Coordinating Committee (NCC) in agriculture of each member country, the co-sponsors CARDI and IICA and the main collaborating Institutions CACHE and CARISEC overseas and monitors the system and approves the work programmes and budgets of the networks. At the national level the NCC guides the networks policy and research priorities. The NCC is comprised of all the the National Network Coordinators (NCs), Focal Points (FPs), representatives from private industry, farmer groups, community based organisations, Non Government Organisations (NGOs), and governmental agencies. CARDI is the Executing Agency of PROCICARIBE and as such, administers the Secretariat at its Headquarters. The PROCICARIBE Secretariat facilitates and coordinates the operations of the Networks and makes the relevant linkages to collaborators at the regional and international levels while assisting in mobilising resources. Both IICA and CARDI sponsor the system and provide substantial financial and human resources in ensuring that the various networks operate efficiently and effectively. The National Network Coordinators chair and coordinate National Network Committees and ensures the execution of the network's work programme at the country level while representing the network on the NCC. NCs join together at the regional level under the leadership of a Regional Coordinator (RC) who works closely with the PROCICARIBE Secretariat and with the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) which is a 6 to 8 member technical peer review group that ensures the technical integrity of the network's activities and programmes. |
